Comme des Garçons Homme Plus AW2005 Cable Knit Turtleneck

It is difficult to distill the empire that is Comme Des Garçons into one cohesive summary. Launched in 1973, CDG initially caught attention for its brash rejections of what a women ought to look like. Rei Kawakubo’s work was characterized by drapey black clothing, often harshly distressed. However, like many one-time punks, age has tempered its fury, and CDG has developed into a cultural powerhouse, with tendrils burrowed into every aspect of fashion and design. In 2017, Rei became to first living designer to receive an exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art since Yves Saint Laurent in 1983.

This mid-weight cable knit turtleneck features an unconventional diamond knit pattern through the middle of the body, and a bold CDGHP logo set between a quartet of horizontal orange stripes which wrap their way around the entirety of the knit.
