Craig Green AW2015 Parachute Parka

Craig Green AW2015 Parachute Parka

In fall of 2015, Craig Green unwound some of the esotericism of his nonetheless stunning debut show. The collection was both striking but imminently wearable. Green himself defined it as an interplay of “restriction and release”, seen in the narrow wrapped knits which clung to models, while loosely tailored pants and oversized, stiffly-formed outerwear swayed with their every step.

The true grail of the season was the parachute parka, which has since become perhaps the first piece Green’s name calls to mind for many. This specific iteration was never for sale, merely a showroom sample, and while the production line was more tempered, featuring tied off tassels around the hood, this one is as free-flowing as the version shown on the runway.
