Navigate was a fitting ending to Hedi’s tenure at Dior.  It is often seen as a high-water mark for his era — both a culmination a crescendo — a ruthlessly sharp streamlining of ideas he’d toyed with through a variety of seasons. The runway was a force to be reckoned with, ostensibly a tribute to mod culture, filled with slim, geometric mohairs, sharp military boots, and various trenches and double breasted coats, but with that formal slant that Hedi imbues into his youth cultural references when he’s at the top of his game.

Black and red-stripes are perhaps the pattern most synonymous with mohair. Worn by Mick Jagger in the 60s, Sid Vicious in the 70s, Kurt Cobain in the 90s, and still going strong to this day. Hedi’s interpretation of it is, as one might guess, is among the finest. Slightly oversized in length, with a loose necklace, it purveys the same “fuck all” attitude of it’s predecessors, yet a luxurious weave and more fitted silhouette allows it to get in the door of any five-star joint.

Condition: 9/10. No significant flaws.
