Number (N)ine SS2006 Split-Leg Painter Denim

Number (N)ine SS2006 Split-Leg Painter Denim

Number (N)ine’s Spring 2006 season was a satiric tribute to Guns N Roses’s unforgettable frontman, Axl Rose. A parade of models evidently cast for their resemblance to the lead singer filled the runway with slight variations of his iconic outfits, including reproductions of the custom-made Converse he oft wore on stage. The outfits were often tweaked to lampoon Rose, including the several looks which consisted of little more than boxer shorts.

These grunge-inspired jeans are made with an asymmetric inseam, and feature two of Takahiro Miyashita's signature washes - a black corduroy with a single D-ring at the waist on one leg, and a light wash and splattered paint. As a whole they have the classic low rise and slim, stacked cut that Number (N)ine often employed.
