A look back into Rick’s Spring 2010 season, “Release” reveals a more rough edged artist than the one who exists now. While the technical wizardry Rick exhibits in his use of shape and fabric is captivating, his work has concurrently developed a growing detachment from the outposts of societal outlaws which clothes initially drew their fury from. In “Release”, with stark simplicity Rick molded the leather jacket, raw denim, black boot wearing bad boy into his own impressionist image, placing unforgiving, razor slim leather pieces atop his chiseled models, which he paired with flowing trousers and large leather boots.

The “Globa” Jacket, was Rick’s interpretation of a classic collared moto. It features a curved-zip closure which creates asymmetric labels when unfastened, and numerous details, including an MA-1 pocket on the sleeve, a huge workable back zip, and an interior carrying strap. It utilizes high arm-holes and a unique back paneled construction to create a razor slim cut.
