TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist. SS2016 Sample Rain Jacket

800.00

In SS2016 Takahiro focused his affections on Oasis’s mercurial frontman, Liam Gallagher. The singer has at times seemed an accidental fashion icon, mixing cutting edge technically inclined fashion such as Helmet Lang’s astro riders with classic British wear of both the hoodlum and heritage variety. Takahiro’s second interpretation (the first being the Number (N)ine “Mickey” shirts) of Gallagher is more mature, and, like most sequels, carries a much bigger budget. Every model donned Gallagher’s trademark coke bottle spectacles, as Miyashita deftly blended classic British patterns such as tartan and pinstripes, with highly technical silhouettes and fabric, which harkened to the finest of Stone Island’s work.

Here the sharp, geometric eye for construction Takahiro has acquired since his Number (N)ine days is on full display. A unique pattern of horizontal lines interplay across the chest, forming diamonds and x’s which lead towards the fastenings at the neck. Diamond-shaped darts weave between slash pockets, their ball chain counterparts, and diagonal pockets on the sleeves. The jacket is equally functional, with a water-proof outer, up to three layers of closure, high neck fastening, and high-quality, branded silver hardware.
