SS2003 “Scab” was Jun’s debut at Paris fashion week, where he established himself as both a visually gifted designer, and one with a unique point of view to express. It elevated the classic DIY punk look by focusing on tailoring in a way rarely considered by the original crafters of the aesthetic. Models stalked the runway in rebuilt clothing, with jagged stitches and hanging threads. Irregular silhouettes abounded, with tops draping loosely past their limbs, yet sticking tight to their torsos. In a full circle achievement, Jun won universal praise from the highest brow of fashion critics, for a sophisticated reconstruction of the DIY punk style he began his work doing.

The spring of 2003 marked Jun’s debut in Paris, where he arrived ready to unveil his most celebrated collection. Based on crust punks and the DIY scene where Jun cut his teeth making bare bones screen-printed tees and patchwork bombers, the season added a layer of conceptual depth not previously seen in the roughshod genre. Irregular silhouettes abounded, with tops draping loosely past their limbs, yet sticking tight to their torsos. It was truly a full circle achievement, with Jun winning universal praise from the highest echelon of critics for a sophisticated reconstruction of the style he'd began his work with.

Condition: 9/10. No significant flaws. All distressing is intentional.
