Walter van Beirendonck/Wild & Lethal Trash SS1997 Plastic Bomber Jacket

495.00 550.00

Hailing from the Spring/Summer 1997 collection, titled, “Little Stranger.” The collection was influenced by the juxtaposition of reality and fantasy, and the show rolled out with a slew cartoonish outfits, with this jacket being one of the first presented. It was styled with a massive blacked-out, stripped-down gladiator helmet, conveying a surrealist tone. The show created its own outlandish atmosphere, as Walter van Beirendonck always does so well.

It’s tough to pinpoint the exact fabric WVB used for this jacket, as it’s unlike anything we’ve ever felt. It almost has a sort of spring to it. The jacket has cut-out armpits and an adjustable width feature due to the velcro closure on the sides.

Condition: 7.5/10. Heavy cracking to the plastic.
