Naoki Takizawa’s AW2000 collection for Issey Miyake explored the realm of technical and utilitarian wear with an emphasis on wearability. It was his third show with the brand after taking over for Miyake, and has aged into some of the label's most coveted work. While the overall feel of the clothing was severe, the runway presented some contrasting levity. Models walked in ballistic nylon bomber jackets while fidgeting with Game Boys and recording each other with video cameras.

These high-visibility neon green pants were shown on the runway, and reflect certain types of light, while featuring the translucent blue zippers which were used on jackets from the collection.
