Rick Owen’s fall 2019 release was pure glam rock. “About Lust and Vice,” as the designer himself put it. It oozed the kind of testosterone-rich femininity which bands like the New York Dolls and KISS immortalized. The presentation itself is named after Larry LeGaspi, a designer whom Owens published a Rizzoli book about alongside the collection. LeGaspi was an unheralded architect of the 70s; he designed clothes for Kiss, Grace Jones, Divine, and a litany of gender-bending artists who shaped how the entire era is now viewed. True to Owens’s inspirations, the collection was irresistibly sexy, with towering heels, slim leathers, and gaudy furs.

This ultra-rare jacket was one of the season’s signature releases. Shown prominently on the runway, it features a cropped cut, elongated sleeves, and pointed shoulders, while the jacket itself is crafted from a mix of shearling, leather, and down-filled polyester.
